Spheres from 3 mm to 20 mm in diameter can be inserted in the phantom. Note that this phantom is very fragile and quite tricky to fill.

"Utah phantom" for studying scatter
Cylinder 20 cm in diameter including several compartments and a background compartment that allows one to simulate out-of-the field-of-view scatter. This phantom is not appropriate to study scatter in whole body imaging however.

Abdominal compartment including realistic organs (e.g., liver, kidneys, stomach). The attenuation medium is uniform (water-like) however.
